It is an old gardener's adage that nothing tastes as good as a home-grown vegetable.
We use a hydroponic system to grow herb and salad varieties.
At its most basic level, hydroponics is a method of growing whereby the plants roots are directly exposed to water based, nutrient rich, solutions without using or needing a soil or coco medium. Although growing in soil is more straight forward, as the root zone is exposed to the nutrient rich solution, the plants growth and yield is greatly increased making it a cleaner and more efficient process.
The following varieties are currently being grown and used for our dishes:
We also have an allotment where we grow heritage vegetables and seasonal berries, as follows:
We believe that it is important to grow our own food because it enables our chefs to use the freshest ingredients when planning our menus.
